This website is a hobby blog but it is publicly accessible; therefore the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. Below you will find which personal data are processed, for what purpose and which rights you have.

3. No Cookies
The site sets no cookies at all. Because no analytics, marketing tools or technically unnecessary scripts are used, a cookie banner is not required under § 25(2) TDDDG/TTDSG.
3a. Language Preference Cookie
We use a functional cookie named site_lang to remember your language preference (English or German). This cookie is stored in your browser for 1 year and contains only your language choice. No personal data is collected or processed.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (your consent through using the language switcher) or Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in improving user experience).
Retention period: 1 year (365 days) from the time it was set or last updated.
Your right: You can delete this cookie at any time through your browser settings. This cannot be done on this website.
4. Server log files (hosting by Host Europe)

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in stability and security). IP addresses qualify as personal data according to the CJEU Breyer judgment.
Processor agreement: Processing is governed by a data-processing contract with Host Europe in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
5. Contact by email
If you contact me by email, I process your message solely to handle the request; the legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual or contractual communication). The data will be erased once the conversation is finished unless statutory retention duties require otherwise.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
7. TLS/SSL encryption
All traffic between your browser and this site is encrypted via TLS/SSL to protect the confidentiality and integrity of transmitted data.
